Job Summary – Estimator:

The Estimator is responsible for accurately generating take-offs, cost estimates and ultimately proposals for our customers. The position requires the ability to read Architectural drawings and construction contract documents.

Primary Responsibilities:

·   Manage and organize project documentation

·   Perform detailed, accurate and complete project takeoff

·   Communicate with contractor and architect to clarify project scope

·   Request and manage quotations from outside vendors and material suppliers

·   Prepare quotations and bid packages that meet and exceed client expectations

·   Collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers and sales team to develop accurate proposals

·   Evaluate project and quoting trends to make recommendations for product development

Job Requirements:

·   Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.

·   Strong process orientation and desire for continuous improvement.

·   Strong analytical and attention to detail skills.

·   Strong interpersonal communication skills.

·   Strong MS Excel skills.

·   Experience working as an estimator within Commercial Construction is a plus.

Job Summary – Structural Engineer

Structural Engineers are responsible for the calculation and analysis of structural members, connections to concrete and steel, and recommendation of materials.

Structural Engineers must have a thorough understanding of the Engineering discipline and principles of both the manufacturing and construction processes with the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently. Structural Engineers must possess a strong understanding of Materials, Building Codes and Engineering Principles.

Requirements:

·   A Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent (Civil, Mechanical).

·   FE/EIT/EI Exam Certification.

·   1 year of related experience.

·   Experience with structural analysis and engineering calculations.

·   AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Manufacturing and Construction experience is a plus.

Job Summary – Project Manager:

 

The Project Manager is responsible for successfully completing projects in accordance with established goals in terms of budget, quality and schedule. The Project Manager serves as the principal decision maker and must coordinate between all stakeholders on the project, both internally and externally.

Project Managers must have a thorough understanding of both the manufacturing and construction processes and the ability to work on a multiple tasks concurrently. Project Managers must possess well-developed interpersonal skills, as the ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities in multiple roles is critical. A thorough understanding of General Business practice, Building Codes, Engineering Principles is equally as important.

Primary Responsibilities

 

Project Planning

· Develop and maintain project plan based primarily on schedules and budgets.

· Coordinate with project team to determine potential value engineering opportunities for the project.

· Provide strategic direction to Engineering team to mitigate risk and maximize potential profit.

· Generate detailed bid packages for vendors and award subcontracts to qualified vendors based on selected project requirements.
Project Execution

· Monitor progress (budget v. production) against established milestones maintaining schedule and performance standards of all parties.

· Seek opportunities to increase project value through relationships with external project team.

· Develop project logs containing all relevant conversation and documentation throughout execution of project.

· Responsible for all quality control measures throughout fabrication and installation phases of project.
Project Evaluation

· Generate and publish detailed project costing reports based on compiled data from the ERP system.

· Complete all specified closeout requirements to ensure prompt release of final payment.

· Perform project review with thorough synopsis of project and opportunities for improved performance on future projects.

 

General

· Compose change orders based on project costs and Contract documents.

· Produce estimates for Sales staff.

· Maintain and grow existing customer relationships with an emphasis on developing Staging Concepts future business opportunities with General Contractors and architects.

· Assist as required in the Research and Development of new and improved Staging Concepts product offering.
Position Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or closely related degree.

· Three years of experience working in commercial construction.

· Experience estimating is preferred.

· Experience in the glazing industry is preferred.

· Ability to travel up to 25% within North America.

Job Summary – Design Engineer:

Design Engineers are ultimately responsible for the research, development and design of product according to project requirements. The Design Engineer develops submittals, layouts, schematics and shop details as part of a design team in accordance with project specifications and site conditions. The position requires knowledge of the Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Production Process along with a thorough understanding of the Engineering discipline and principles of both the manufacturing and construction processes with the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently. Design Engineers must possess a strong understanding of Materials, Building Codes and Engineering Principles.

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Planning

· Provide conceptual design drawings and value engineering solutions to projects in the developmental design phase to assist the sales team in providing accurate and competitive pricing.

· Thoroughly review project specifications and scope, placing particular emphasis on design requirements.

· Conduct and review various calculations such as strength, weights, forces and stresses for material and component selection under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.

· As part of a Project Team, prepare submittal drawings for customer approval based upon project specifications, scope and engineering requirements.

· Coordinate with project team to determine potential value engineering opportunities for the project.
Project Execution

· Work in conjunction with the project strategy and schedule set forth by the Project Manager.

· Prepare measuring templates, acquire field dimensions and construct as-built 3D models and layouts to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.

· With the use of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software, prepare accurate assembly and part drawings to assure proper fabrication and installation of product.

· Prepare bills of materials and project routers to the Process Engineer and Production Manager.

· Assist the Project Manager with quality control measures throughout fabrication and installation phases of the project.

· Assist the Project Manager in the completion of all specified closeout documents required by the customer including final ‘as-built’ drawings.

· Perform project review with thorough synopsis of project and opportunities for improved performance on future projects.

General

· Provide material take-offs and estimates and assist in project forecasting.

· Assist the Project Manager with change orders, project schedules and project evaluation.

· Integrate educational and professional experience to optimize project efficiencies.

· Assist as required in the Research and Development of new and improved Staging Concepts product offering.
Position Requirements

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.

· 1-5 years of related experience. Manufacturing and construction experience preferred.

· Proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor or comparable program is required.

· Knowledge of engineering analysis to select appropriate member sizing.

· Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.

· Ability to maintain a high degree of integrity, loyalty and honesty; not divulge to outside parties information of a confidential nature pertaining to the company’s operations or bids.

· Ability to carry out the duties described in the job description in an efficient manner.

Job Summary – CNC Machinist:

• Sets up and programs, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining center to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts

• Applies knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques

• Studies blueprints sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements

• Selects aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools attachments, accessories, and materials on machines. For example: mills, lathes, etc.

• Maintains a safe and well organized working environment, following all safety procedures as outlined in safety manual
